Haircare That Cares
At Tangle Teezer, we’ve always been a brand that cares, in fact, we put a lot of our focus into the care side of haircare! We set out our Corporate Social Responsibility policy to focus on three areas that align with what we do every day: Our world, our people, and our community.
1. Our world: Planet-friendly practises
We take strokes – wherever we can – towards a more sustainable world and future.
We make sure all our office waste is managed responsibly, we recycle everything possible and avoid landfills at all costs.
All our office consumables and paper products are recycled, ecofriendly, and from sustainable sources. And it’s not just in house we care about, it’s important for us to try to work with equally, environmentally minded suppliers too. Our London office has an EPC B rating, and our cleaning suppliers are B-Corp Certified. We’re always looking for ways we can be more environmentally responsible in our head office and where we can, we choose sustainable, organic products.
With our Plant Brush – made from 85% sustainably sourced castor beans – we created an eco-friendly hairbrush with the same great detangling power you know and love, so we can be as kind to the planet as we are to hair.
We’ve made the switch from using recycled plastic packaging to cardboard, sourced from renewable sources, for all our hairbrush products. In 2025 we said goodbye to all our plastic packaging.
In 2025 we became part of the BiC World group of brands, this means that while we operate completely as Tangle Teezer, we have amazing support from our parents that will allow us to continue to expand and grow!
We now sell brushes in almost every country across the world and with a little help from BiC have extended our manufacturing into countries outside of the UK to support our customer service and sustainability objectives. If you would like to know more about how we are closing the loop on recycling plastics and supporting our planet, you can find the BiC group’s latest sustainability reports here: Sustainability : Our approach | BIC Corporate
Both ours and BiC’s suppliers are expected to meet high and stringent operational standards and policies to make sure there is no risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains. The expectations we have for suppliers are detailed in our Supplier manual, given to all our suppliers and vendors, and in our Modern Slavery Act Statement.
2. Our PAC: People focused
We’re committed to treating our team with the respect and care they deserve.
We offer an environment where our culture is in the foreground of all we do, under the guidance of 3 core values:
We are passionately PROUD to do things differently, so we perform brilliantly – just like our hair tools.
We are AUTHENTIC. We welcome everyone as they are, we bring our true selves to work and show up as who we want to be.
We are CHAMPIONS of one another, our brand and our environment.
We are part of a PAC (Proud, Authentic, Champions) that is committed to helping each other develop. We recognise the importance of providing the right skills and space for our team achieve their goals, and provide space to change and grow.
As our business continues to grow, so will our people experience. We will always work to keep Tangle Teezer and its inspiring team, a PAC people want to be part of.
Our culture helps to make sure that everyone feels that they are treated fairly and respectfully; it allows our team to thrive being their authentic selves, build trust, and support each other through life's tangles.
At Tangle Teezer we know the world is not one size fits all. We take time to review and refresh our benefits and policies continuously to make sure they suit the needs of all our PAC. We use our annual engagement survey, flexa polls and people metrics, to respond to and act on PAC feedback.
3. Our community: Community love
We give back to our community and charity to make a positive difference.
For us, hair care is more than just a brush. It’s a support tool to help care for yourself when your life feels tangled, it’s a scalp exfoliation to feel more pride in your personal hygiene, it’s taking the time to blow dry in a much-needed confidence boost. When we donate our products, we do so with this in mind. We aren’t gifting a brush; we are offering small items of daily life support. With this in mind, we actively support hair and hygiene focused causes and initiatives in both the UK and US.
This looks like large stock donations to hygiene banks, donations to cancer research organisations that help battle hair loss, plus product donations to NHS units supporting intensive care patients.
Our PAC are predominantly female, so for us, it is important to be part of the period conversation. Every year we donate thousands of sanitary items to those in need to help battle period poverty. We are also full of kind and compassionate people who all have charitable causes they care about, so we offer everyone two days per year, fully paid, to volunteer for a cause of their choice and we match fundraising wherever we can.
As our Corporate Social Responsibility policy evolves over time, we will update it at least once a year to make sure it reflects the care we want to give to our world, our PAC, and our community. This version was updated June 2026.
